Meet Our Tutors
Hi, I’m Judy Sorenson. I’m excited to be tutoring at Lark Rise Hall this year! I have always loved learning and have a passion for teaching. I have been teaching my own children for 5 years and have participated in teaching other children in co-op settings for the last 4 years. I also love gardening, art, graphic design, and all things related to education. I am excited to be part of a program to support and benefit the homeschool community through tutoring!
Hi, my name is Manon Tracy, I’m a mom of two and have both personal and professional tutoring experience. Between my experience interpreting and tutoring at the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind, to advocating for resources for my own little one with special needs, I have learned a lot about working with individuals at their own pace. I love the one-on-one format that Lark Rise offers and believe it helps kids thrive and enriches their educational experience. Outside of tutoring, I love art, piano, and learning languages. I recently wrote and illustrated my own children’s book and am working on becoming fluent in my third language. I look forward to meeting your kiddos.
Hi, I’m Olivia Bannink! I’m from Minnesota attending my second year at Brigham Young University majoring in Early Childhood Education. I love working with children and have spent my summers as a camp counselor. I have also been an assistant art teacher and love creating art on my own. Some other hobbies I enjoy are playing soccer, reading, boating, and taking my dog for walks. I am so excited to tutor this year!
Hello! My name is Shelly Christensen and I am thrilled to be able to tutor at Lark Rise Hall this year. I am a mom of seven children and I have eight grandchildren! I love history, the ocean, horseback riding, reading, and flowers. My favorite sport team is the Kansas City Jayhawk basketball team, you might learn a little about college basketball this year! The last 25 years I have worked with children in helping with academics, coaching personal growth, athletics, and other areas.
Hi! I’m Kate, and I’m so excited to be tutoring at Lark Rise Hall and getting to work with all the amazing kids. I’m currently a student at Utah Valley University, working toward my master’s degree in psychology. My goal is to become a therapist who specializes in working with children and teenagers.
I personally struggled a lot in school when I was in elementary, and I still remember how much one-on-one tutoring helped me—both in building my confidence and in learning to believe in myself. I hope to be that same positive influence for the students I work with and help them feel supported, encouraged, and capable.
Hi! My name is Kimberlee Galaxyy. I have been working with children for over 10 years, and I am so excited to be in the environment Lark Rise Hall is creating! I have worked with students in a variety of contexts, but my favorite is when I get to invest in the personal relationship and give each student individualized attention. I am a big believer in praising focus and effort, rather than flawlessness. I really admire homeschoolers— I’m excited to meet you and your child(ren).
In my free time, I enjoy taking my dog Pippa to water we can play in! I also have been enjoying studying music, math, and Spanish on Duolingo.
Hello! My name is Kaylee Fish and I'm a Junior at Brigham Young University. I'm studying food science and have experience working as a homework planner throughout school. I just got married this May and am excited to help the kids at Lark Rise to grow their confidence and skills in academics. I love anything outdoors, baking sweet treats, and writing poetry! I can’t wait to meet you all!
Hi, my name is Hannah White. I have experience tutoring in a high school setting and I am excited to work with some younger students. I have always been very passionate about education and enjoy working with children of all ages. I love making art, playing music, and being outside. I'm looking forward to working with your students!
Hi, I’m Tregani Haslam. I have been working with children practically since I was one. I worked in a daycare in highschool. I taught preschool while I went through the elementary education program at UVU. I was a nanny for two amazing families. I taught one year in 4th grade and several years in kindergarten.
I have three wonderful kiddos ages 7, 5, and 2. We have been homeschooling for the past two years and are enjoying learning together at home. I love camping, photography, reading, and playing outdoors with my family.
I am so excited to be a part of the Lark Rise Hall mission to build a supportive community for homeschooling families. I look forward to helping your little ones learn and grow while assisting you in your homeschool journey.
